LemonTree is a fast-paced London based fintech company aiming to revolutionise back-office financial services offerings for small and complex firms up to large multi-national institutional clients. LemonTree started in March 2020 and launched its first product, LemonTree Capital, in October 2020. Since then, it has quickly gathered global attention, partnering with enterprise clients, start-up private capital administrators to technology leaders.

LemonTree provides industry-leading enterprise solutions, such as our alternative asset solution LemonTree Capital, powered by our unique industry-tailored low-code software development platform for complex data and accounting demands. We are rapidly growing our team to meet our expanding client base's needs and scale-out our growth in the coming years. This position is one of several critical roles we are looking to recruit across our business.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate can hunt for new opportunities. They will have either led or been a core part of a team and shown an exceptional aptitude to converting sales opportunities in an enterprise technology-based role in financial services. The preferred candidate will have a private capital background, with a deep network of relationships. The candidate will show a clear strategy to move along the full sales cycle, working with self-created opportunities.

Your ability to work within a team, engage with clients and build strong relationships is a trait which comes naturally. You can quickly ascertain insights from client conversations, converting these to business opportunities.

The Opportunity

We have the technology, funding, experience and capability to scale our business quickly. We are now looking for a Global Sales Director to lead our commercial success across Europe and North America.

The candidate will lead our three commercial drivers:

  • LemonTreeCapital is our off-the-shelf back/middle office solution for the private capital industry; a full portfolio management and fund accounting system. LemonTreeCapital is our core revenue driver in short to mid-term, and an ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of software in the industry and the capital market in general.

  • Create partnerships with technical leaders in financial services. You are creating commercial relationships with partners to build solutions on the LemonTree platform, to create revenue sharing opportunities in the broader financial services.

  • Providing the underlying LemonTree platform to enterprise-grade clients, looking to build their own suite of solutions internally.

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Successfully drive the commercial success of LemonTree.

  • Sales lead creation and conversion.

  • Develop in the mid-term and in-year business commercial strategy.

  • Support the long-term business strategy.

  • Lead and implement commercial plans and strategy for your market.

  • Identify, develop and share new business propositions.

  • Work closely with all departments from pre-sales, marketing, development and the implementation teams.

  • Develop strong relationships with our clients, strategic partners and other stakeholders.

  • Co-develop, measure and analyse the commercial KPIs.

  • Manage and track opportunity pipelines through our CRM system.

About You

  • A driven sales individual with a strong track record.

  • Excited by entrepreneurship and getting in on the ground floor to work for a disruptive start-up and help build the culture, team and approach.

  • Have at least 5+ years of sales experience with enterprise software.

  • Experience through the full end to end sales cycle from initial contact/RFP to closing, implementation and on-going client engagement.

  • Experience in financial services required.

  • Impeccable communication skills.

  • A passion for technology.

  • A team player.

  • Located/ability to regularly engage with clients in either London or New York.
